My name is Gabrielle Kleygrewe, and I am the founder and psychologist here at Legacy Movement. I am an American living in Amsterdam and working as a clinical psychologist. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and specialize in trauma-focused therapy for adults navigating stress, overwhelm, identity changes, and the emotional weight of past experiences.

Trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) sessions target specific traumatic experiences in order to reprocess memories from past to heal in the present. Traumas may range from singular events to complex dynamics. Length of treatment may vary based on need and complexity.
What Can You Expect:
We will work through a structured, step-by-step plan that will build the skills you need to manage stress in the present.
First, we will build your toolkit, such as breathing exercises to regulate your nervous system and specific techniques to manage difficult thoughts and feelings, all so you can feel capable and safe.
Once you feel ready, we will slowly work on telling your story in a way that gives you back control over those memories so they don't feel so overwhelming anymore.

You cannot heal from trauma if you do not feel safe. Stabilization focuses on providing you with skills and strategies to cope with stress in the present and give space for processing your past.
